Are you looking for a vegan pregnancy blog? You’ve landed on the right blog.

Hey, mama! And congrats on your new bundle

I’m DJ, a vegan (8 years) mom of three beautiful boys.

Asi am Writting this post I have a five month old beautiful vegan baby that I’m breastfeeding.

Here at vegan pregnancy blog, you’ll find recipes, resources, snack ideas, and everything I’ve learned through my own experience.

While I’m learning and living it out. It is

My hope that you have what you need, this blog was birthed out of need to share (I wish I had something like this).

I’ve had three vegan pregnancies.

They were all healthy and smooth.

I didn’t deal with morning sickness or throwing up.

No complications.

That said, every pregnancy is different.

There’s so many factor, and its best to consult with a vegan diaeticin. That’s what I did.

I love to share what worked for me.

Vegan Pregnancy Blog: First Trimester

During the first trimester, I kept things simple.

I stayed hydrated, ate regularly, and ate vegan meals that made me feel good. I

Got too loose with the sweets and had to cut back!

I also checked in with a registered dietitian, I felt way confident about what I was eating.

If you have nausea or fatigue, a basic plan and support can go a long way.

Vegetarian Pregnancy Meal Plan PDF

I follow a vegan diet, but I’ve seen helpful vegetarian and vegan meal plans.

Here are two resources I used:

Vegan Pregnancy Meal Plan – NutritionFacts.org

Daily Dozen Meal Plan – Dr. Greger’s Free App

Since vegan meals are already vegetarian, I recommend going with a vegan meal plan if you’re vegetarian.

It just makes things easier.

I also worked with a dietitian to make sure it was right for me.

Vegan Pregnancy Recipes

There are a lot of recipes out there, but I like to keep it simple.

Purple Carrot has some good ones.

Their meals are fire.

So good.

Still, I’d say talk to a dietitian.

I did, and it helped me figure out what meals gave me what I needed.

Sometimes your insurance will even cover it.

Vegetarian Pregnancy Meal Plan: Second Trimester

By the second trimester, I found a rhythm.

I leaned into meals I liked and that gave me energy.

Some regular meals I had:

Lentil soup.

Quinoa and kale bowls.

Tacos with tofu and avocado.

Smoothies with spinach and chia seeds.

Vegan meals worked well for me throughout the whole pregnancy.

Vegan Pregnancy Diet

One thing my dietitian told me that really helped—get protein at every meal.

And try to eat fruits and vegetables with everything you eat.

That stuck with me.

A normal breakfast for me was oatmeal with berries and flaxseeds.

Sometimes I’d even add beans on the side.

Was it full of protein?

Yep.

Was it good?

Actually, yes.

Pregnancy is pregnancy.

Whether you eat vegan or not, the goal is still to get the nutrients your body needs.

Best Vegan Food for Pregnancy

Some of my favorite easy foods during pregnancy were:

Cut-up fruit.

Veggie trays.

Roasted sweet potatoes.

Big salads with nuts and seeds.

Smoothie bowls.

I just kept it simple and made sure I ate what felt good.
